
A Teacher Assistant is responsible for supporting the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the education of all pupils, to assist with pupils’ learning, the provision of care and the management of pupils’ behaviour under the discretion of teaching staff/senior colleagues. The post includes a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
Support pupils’ personal, social, and health needs, ensuring safety and welfare.
Supervise and engage pupils in learning tasks and activities.
Provide 1:1 or small group support for withdrawn students.
Build positive relationships and promote inclusion and independence.
Assist teachers with lesson preparation, displays, and behaviour management.
Maintain pupil records and report progress or concerns to teachers.
Support curriculum delivery, including literacy, numeracy, and ICT activities.
Prepare and manage classroom resources and equipment.
Follow school policies on safeguarding, health, safety, and confidentiality.
Participate in meetings, training, supervision, and educational visits.
Undergraduate degree (Education or equivalent)
2 to 3 years preferred worked in International school environment
